Welcome to Daniel's Den Coffee House WEB: Daniel's Den Christian Coffee House is located in the upstate NY town of Clark Mills. We use the fellowship hall of the Clark Mills United Methodist Church 4857 Clinton st., Clark Mills. Daniel's Den opened it's doors on Nov. 12th, 1993 and we are still going strong today do to the Grace of God.

Hello! Let me introduce myself. My name is Hank Toner. I have been heading up Daniel's Den since it started.
Thru a vision God called us to this ministry way back in 1990. It would take me three years to understand what God had really called me to do. In the meantime He made me thirst for His word and I studied as the His Spirit worked in me to see with His eyes and not mine. He prepared me and the way for the coffee house in this time. Finally I told my minister of this vision I had experienced a couple years before and Pastor Jeff encouraged me to start up this music ministry of a coffee house.

So without a lot of knowledge of what I was doing, but with the faith of God's word that He would provide, we started in the town of Westmoreland, NY. It all would begin on friday November 12th, 1993 and God began this adventure in ministry. 

Originally 5 members of the Westmoreland church and 5 members of the Clark Mills church bonded together in Christ to reach out to a world in need. We began to let everyone we came into contact with hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, (Mark 16:15).We brought the word of God in music to a lot of people who would never ever have entered a church if it wasn't for the music we provided. We have always been admission free, working off a goodwill offering understanding we wouldn't take any money for our ministry until the day God says we should. We have watched and prayed with people as they accepted Jesus Christ as their savior and helped them to move as they are called and grow in Jesus. Many thousands have been uplifted by our ministry of music. The verse in Daniel 6:16c (KJV) has been a big inspiration " For thy God whom thou servest continually, He will deliver thee". We learned very early that prayer was very important as we asked God for all our needs. God is faithful and He provided everything from a place to be, music ministries, sound equipment, workers, professional soundman, and just a sweet spirit about us.

We are not about a lot of frills yet God has brought many local, regional, and even national artists that ministered the word of God in music and testimonies. We have been involved in many benefits, gone on the road and ministered where God led us. We honored a local Christian radio station for its first anniversary in 1995 this would lead to the REVIVE Music Festival which we have been a big part of each year since. The festival took place each summer from 1996 on,  at The Delta Lake Bible Conference in Rome, NY. In 2005 it was located in the heart of Utica, NY at the Parkway Ski Chalet and took a year off in 2006 and 2007 andonce again is in the planning stages.

Many coffee houses in upstate NY, have been inspired by or used as a guide to begin their ministries. Local ministries have gotten their start and learned how to minister at our venue. We have received many gifts from people who have been blessed by the Lord at the Den. One local art teacher has painted 3 sections of our walls to match our theme of  Daniel and the Lions Den. They go along with the four foot lion has become our friend known as Koinonia (authentic Christian fellowship). We have a candle light atmosphere with some simple stage lights and several 4' round tables similar to the coffee houses of the sixties. The audience is very close to the stage and this adds to the personal relationship between the artists and audience. We are a very old church but we have learned that God is the same today as He was in the past and will be in the future. He still uses us to to present His word to a lost world.We can not take any credit for what He does for to God goes the glory and that means all the glory.

Some of the artists that have graced our stage Layton Howerton, Testify (Roy Prior & John Bradford), Lenny Leblanc @ Revive, Marianne Kesler, Ken Verheecke, Mike Fialla (worship leader of Kingdom Bound ministries), The Motor City Saints, John Osborne, Kyle Knapp, Mark Bolos, Ann Walseman, U.O.1 and of course some of the greatest local ministries in the word of God in music any where.
